Foreword

I started out at Feng Chia University in 1992 studying Mandarin at the Language Center which provided an endless amount of encouragement and support from teachers who taught what I considered to be the hardest language in the world. Without them, I would not have achieved the Mandarin proficiency that I have today leading to my role as the Director of the Language Center. As the Director, it is my utmost goal to ensure the same quality of education and service is passed on to our current students at the Language Center.

Kris The Language Center is neither the oldest nor biggest program in Taiwan. However, what separates us from other institutions is our individualized attention to students and our ability to meet their needs. Our program is also up to date with the latest research and trends of teaching Mandarin in today’s globalized world. At the Language Center, you will feel a student-oriented approach to all facets of our program. Whatever your reasons for learning Mandarin, you will find all your answers here with our solid selection of electives and cultural courses.

My office is located next to the EZ Cafe and my door is always open to visitors. We know what it feels like to leave home and live in a foreign country for the first time, and we promise we will do our best to make sure that your experience is a rewarding one. We hope to see you soon!
